This Privacy Policy explains how information may be processed when you visit PTCL Speed Test at ptclspeedtest.websolution.pk, use our internet speed checker, or contact the website team. It applies to this subdomain; external websites linked from our pages may have separate policies.

1. Information Involved in a Website Visit

Like most websites, our hosting and security systems can receive technical details needed to deliver pages and respond to requests. Depending on server configuration, these may include your IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, time of access, response status, and diagnostic or security logs.

If you contact us, the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and any optional technical details, may be used to review and respond to your enquiry. Avoid including passwords, account credentials, or sensitive payment information.

2. Data Used During a Speed Test

Our current speed checker makes requests to this website’s own server. To estimate download speed, the server sends generated test data to your browser. To estimate upload speed, your browser sends temporary generated test bytes to the server. The upload endpoint reads and discards those bytes rather than saving them as uploaded files.

The plugin also makes small HTTP requests for latency measurements. Its current version does not provide a personal account, a saved test-history feature, or a database of individual speed-test results. This does not mean the hosting platform has no ordinary access or security logs.

To prevent excessive traffic, the plugin creates temporary usage counters using an IP-derived, salted hash and tracks request counts and estimated transferred bytes. Those counters are used to enforce hourly limits. It also keeps a temporary site-wide daily bandwidth counter. Hosting providers, firewalls, or WordPress security services may have separate logs and retention rules.

Automatic tests and data usage: On pages configured for automatic testing, the speed check can begin shortly after the page loads. You may stop a running test using the tool’s Stop control. 3. Why Information May Be Used

Technical and contact information may be processed to deliver the website and testing service, respond to messages, investigate errors, protect against abusive traffic, maintain service availability, and meet applicable legal requirements.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

WordPress, the hosting platform, and any active security or site-management services may use cookies or comparable browser storage for functions such as login sessions, security, and preferences. Other cookies, including analytics or advertising cookies, depend on which additional services are enabled on the website. The speed-test plugin itself uses browser requests for testing; it does not require you to register an account. Its temporary server-side bandwidth counters are not the same as a browser tracking cookie.

If you use the WebSolution contact form, your message is submitted to that website and is also subject to its privacy policy. Links and any separately embedded third-party content may involve the privacy practices of those providers.

The core speed checker currently described on this website does not need the former MeterCustom iframe to perform its speed measurements. Hosting, content-delivery, security, analytics, advertising, or other services may still process technical requests if enabled in the website configuration.

6. Retention and Security

Speed-test upload bytes are not saved as user-uploaded files by the current plugin. Its temporary per-IP-derived counters are set with approximately one-hour expiry periods, while the daily site-wide counter is temporarily retained for around one day. Server logs, security systems, contact messages, backups, and any other enabled WordPress services may follow different retention practices.

We take reasonable steps to protect site operations and information; however, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Requests About Your Information

You may ask about personal information connected with your enquiries, or request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law provides those rights. Some information may need to be retained for security, legal, or operational reasons.
